The Magic of The Luminous Flame:
Electrostatic and Electromagnetic

Fire, like the Aethers, is a form of intelligent plasma; it is also composed of ions which are positively and negatively charged ions.  Ions are atomic and, as we know through physics  experiments , atoms are 'thinking' and respond to human attention.  When an atom becomes aware that it is being observed then it behaves or begins to identify with the thoughts and the expectations of the observer!  You have a tremendous impact and amount of control over your life if you just choose to accept and direct that control.

This is how we know that we are living in a participatory universe in which the universe responds to us as we respond and interact with it.  If we choose to be inactive in our participation then we also know that the influence that others have on the environment that we share can directly influence us.  This means that if we are not selectively designing our environment and the totality of the energy within ourselves and our microcosmic world (reality) then we must expect that there will be others attempting to control it for us.  That is how mental, emotional, physical and/or spiritual slavery begins.

Your candle flame, when being pulled left or right, is actually being drawn towards the presence of negatively charged ions.  This is another reason why those who are candle flame 'diviners' would suggest that this was an indication that there was a 'negative' influence' around your intention that was attempting to pull the power away from your flame or in essence, the intention that you had set for you, your higher self and your spiritual guides.

The Ring of Fire, the image that you get when placing a piece of paper over a flame demonstrates that the thermal heat, that which burns, is all around the outer cylinder of the flame and that the heat being produced is on the outside of the flame.  The inner circle of the flame's ring on the paper indicates that the inside core is cool, rather magnetic.

At the same time, candle flames during ceremonies, can be split in two; this has always been an indicator that there are two energies in the flame.  Often times this has been interpreted as an opposing force acting against your intention.  In other words, your electromagnetic attention to the ceremony has guided to it the opposing intention of the 'other' (another person, another spirit, etc.) who is now aware of you breaking the connection of the energy stream that has been holding the 'negativity' in place. 

So, how can we now participate in the ceremony and work with the elements to bring the diffused flame back into one concentrated energy stream that is working on your behalf?  This is where it gets fun!  

This is nothing more than electrostatic energy pulling at the flame from opposite sides...you will also want to 'check yourself' and pull your intention together.  Sometimes intentions are set but if not practiced to be held in the same state as when the intention was released, then the elements have a difficult time working together as team.  There can be NO diffusion of your emotions, passion, imagination, intention and love for this process during the ceremony.
